Junior clubs that grow
· Sunita Rao
Children grow quickly and their clubs do not. Parents buy a set in spring and discover in autumn that it no longer fits.
There are two ways to stretch a junior set. One is to extend the shafts with a plug, which adds half an inch or so. The other is to regrip with a slightly thicker grip as the hands grow.
When to refit
Once a year is usually enough. If your child grows more than an inch, come in sooner.
We keep a few junior sets for demonstration so children can try before they commit.
