Trusting your gapping

· Nolan Fisk

We give every iron client a yardage card. About half of them never use it.

The numbers are accurate. The trouble is trust. When the wind is up and the pin is back, it is easier to go with a gut feeling than a printed number.

A practice routine

Take the card to the range. Hit each club at the stated yardage. When the numbers match, you will start to believe them.

After a few weeks, you will pull the right club without thinking.
